Our best friends, Nate and Joy and their little peanut, Laila, went with us to North Carolina this past week. We have been with them several times, but never all in the same car. (Special thanks to Joy's Grandpa for lending us the Expedition)On the way there, we decided we would drive through the night, so the kids would sleep. Well, that almost happened, except for poor little Laila can't sleep in the car. So yes, she was up all night. Isaac, Luke, and Roxy slept almost the whole night.
We had such a great trip. We ate smores like they were going out of style, went into town to our favorite shops and food places, hiked to the top of the mountain, sat by the fire, played outside, and just had a grand old time! We love North Carolina!
Oh, on the way home we traveled during the day. Poor little Laila was up the whole day again. She and Luke took turns crying off and on. Wouldn't trade it for anything though! Ohhhhh family vacations!
